Invoicing & VAT FAQ

Should I charge VAT on my invoice?

It depends on where you are based and where your client is based. Generally, if you are over the VAT threshold in your country, you must charge VAT to local clients. For international clients, research 'Reverse Charge' rules.

What is the EU Reverse Charge mechanism?

Between EU B2B entities, the supplier often doesn't charge VAT. Instead, the recipient handles the VAT accounting. You must explicitly state 'Reverse Charge Mechanism' on your invoice in these cases.

Do I need a sign-up to use this tool?

No. All calculations and PDF generation happen entirely in your browser. We never see your financial data or your client's details.

Which currencies are supported?

Currently, we support USD, EUR, GBP, AUD, and SGD. We are adding more currencies monthly based on digital nomad feedback.

What must be included on a legal invoice?

Legally, most countries require: a unique invoice number, date of issue, sender/recipient addresses, VAT numbers (if applicable), and a clear breakdown of services/totals.
